A letter written to Hon. Ray Danyluk, Lac La Biche-St. Paul
Ray, I write this letter with deep fear and sorrow as I see people with disabilities being told that they can no longer receive the quality of services they once had. Funding cuts means fewer staff and less one on one interaction in the community. This means people will no longer have the same opportunities as they once did to explore personal choices. Instead they will have to compromise with others to get out and experience things that may or may not interest them. These are vulnerable and at risk people, who you have decided to take supports from. How can you reason your decision to take away supports when these people need even more than they ever had?
