A letter written to Hon. Doug Horner, Spruce Grove-Sturgeon-St. Albert
Dear Sir, Please do your part to stop the privitization of our health care. Our government is obviously on this track as evidenced by cancelling the AHC premiums and then declaring the system is broke. We do not want a private health care system that could mean bankruptcy if we get seriously ill. We do not want constant hassles with insurance companies over what is or is not covered. This is a major life giving service that our government has been providing for a long time and WE WISH YOU TO CONTINUE. I repeat, we wish you to continue. Shareholders cannot be trusted to do the right thing. Only our government is in the position to deliver healh care with the sole purpose being to the citizen's benefit. To address our deficit: 1. Resume AHC premiums. 2. Spend resources on preventative healh care. It's always cheaper to stay healthy. Only our government is positioned to promote preventative health care. Private enterprise certainly won't. 3. Put a 100% tax on advertisements promoting products and activities that are contrary to good health. Spend that tax to pay for #2. Next election I will be voting for the party that wants to provide govenment health care exclusively.
