A letter written to Ms. Bridget A. Pastoor, Lethbridge-East

Dear Bridget. With the up coming budget about to be released, we are very concerned about the cuts that will occur to our Public Services. Study after study has proven that a strong public service and investment in public infrastructure is the best way to keep our businesses competitive and our local communities thriving. We need leaders in our government to stand up for the principals of the Health Care System. As seniors, approachoing the more vulnerable years in our lives, it is a grave concern with the move to private care facilities and the closure of existing centers. Are these facilities really staffed adequately with only one LPN on duty for the entire building? Cutting the education funds and making it more difficult for our youth to receive a secondary education is not the answer. We should be encouraging them to further their education as they are the leaders of the future and the need for their education is an absolute necessity. We need leaders who have the public's interest as a priority, who can strengthen our econmic growth and build a better tomorrow. We ask the government to invest, not cut, our public services.
